Obituary For Viola Askew
Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 25, 2023, at Green Grove Baptist Church. It is located at 1165 GA-26, Elko, Georgia 31025. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery. She is survived by her children, Abraham Askew, Henry Askew, Jr., Celestine Brooks (Devone), Vera Scott, Bobby Askew, Carl Askew (Denise), Shirley Lumpkin, Vivian Askew, Kelvin Askew ( Michelle), Terry Askew ( Angela) and Angela Nash ( William); siblings, M.L. Mobley, Monroe Mobley, Jr., Calreatha Taylor and Daisy Nelson; 30 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Viewing hours will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

It was a pleasure to have met Mrs. Viola many years ago and every time I saw her she was always so nice and sweet to me. I have no doubt that she has gained her crown.
