Charlotte, North Carolina - Nathaniel Spencer (Nate),73, of Charlotte, NC, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020, at his home. Nate was born on November 4, 1947, in Pantego, North Carolina, to Leon and Lula Mae Spencer. He was one of seven siblings; Maurice Reddick (Deceased), Thomas Spencer (Deceased), Ernestine Mann, Christine Spencer, Harrison Spencer, and Mildred Lewis. Nate attended Beaufort County high school. After high school, he earned his bachelor's degree from North Carolina A&T University in Business Administration (Aggie Pride!). Nate also faithfully carried out his duty to his country by completing two tours while serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Carolyn Spencer, his son, Eric Spencer, and his daughters, Courtenay Dawkins and Nicolette Spencer. Funeral services will be privately held. Viewing is open to all family and friends and will occur on Friday, December 18th, from 3 PM to 6 PM and Saturday, December 19th, from 12 PM to 1 PM at Richmond Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 6717 Beatties Ford Rd., Charlotte NC 28216.
