July 15, 1925 - January 9, 2021 Huntersville, North Carolina - Mary W. Rodgers, 95, died on Saturday, January 9, 2021, in Huntersville, NC. She was born in Danville, Virginia, July 15, 1925. Mary was the daughter of the late Lena and Gilbert Williams. Mary attended Danville Virginia City Schools. She met and married James Henry Rodgers and to this union they had four sons. The family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and resided in the University Park area. Mary began her career in the Food Service Department of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) as a Cafeteria Manager. She retired from CMS after 33 years. Mary is survived by her sons, Jimmy (Jo Ann), Huntersville, Danny (Marie) and Gerald Rodgers, all of Charlotte, NC. A graveside service will be held at York Memorial Cemetery on Friday, January 15, at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements are in the care of Richmond Funeral Home, 6717 Beatties Ford Rd., Charlotte, NC 28216.
