Mr. EBT Darnell Ashford, you were a Angel on earth so I only can imagine what heaven has in store. Your spirit was so genuine, I won't forget those times we used to laugh in class & in the halls. Even when I used to see you at the metro link, you was one of the first to know when I was getting my first car you were so happy for me it was more in ur face than words. I will most definitely miss you & your energy which will be unmatched. 💜💜💜 sending all the love to your family, friends & babies.

Your passing has shaken my whole world up and everything that I thought I knew of love and life. It saddens me that it took such a tragic event to put things into perspective, however I'm grateful for the clarity. You have been a constant in my life for fifteen years. That's half of my life I've spent loving you, laughing with you, creating memories with you, and sometimes even feuding with you. An energy like no other you were ALWAYS the life of the party. I can't count the times you've made me laugh until my belly ached, but I'll most cherish those quiet moments spent sharing secrets, dreams, desires, heartaches, regrets, and tears. I didn't understand before, but now I know keeping myself and our son at a distance, away from turmoil, was truly an act of love & sacrifice. I thank you for that. Thank you for being a friend. Thank you for seeing me at my very core. Thank you for showing me you. Thank you for every tear you've wiped & every time you were there. Thank you for loving me like no one else has. Thank you for our beautiful son. I pray that you are at peace from all of the things that troubled you. It brings me comfort and joy to know that even during our darkest moments those closest to you can attest to the love you had for me, because only God knows how much I truly loved you until the very end & still. There'll never be another you. ❤️

Oh how time fly, but never did we imagine this. We imagined us planning a huge class reunion, game nights etc. You never was the type to see anyone sad you joked about almost everything. That being sad no bad memories just all good ones. The EHL/IMAGINE FAMILY DEEPLY MISSES YOU!!! Fly High Friend aka Mr.Ashford.

Darnell you will truly be missed! I remember right after high school and we started dating. You were so sweet but we was totally different. I remember my nephew used to follow us everywhere! I would be so mad but you didn't care you would tell him to come on in a heartbeat! I don't have any real friends or family in this world but you somehow always made sure i had a drink and i had to smile for you on my birthday! Thank you for seeing me darnell. Thank you for showing me that I'm not really invisible.

Oh man, My boy Darnell..... I am having a seriously difficult time processing this bro, Man I love you so much bro and I am so devastated that we will never be able to speak again on video, messages, you getting the Stern "NO BS" advice from me. Telling you too, Step back for a moment during an issue and think, process, evaluate before you act when I can tell it's something that means a lot too you. You will always be my brother, You will always be one of my closest friends, You will always always be loved. Your family has been hit with something so tragic bro, please watch over them - Watch over your kids also Darnell. Ima miss you so dang much.
