Clarence Edward Hudson, a resident of Montgomery, AL., was born in Marengo County, AL. to the late Fletcher Hudson and Patsy Hayes Hudson Cobb on November 10, 1944. He transitioned into eternal rest on April 15, 2023. He was baptized and united with the North Montgomery Baptist Church. Clarence enjoyed Golfing and Bowling and was an excellent Tailor. Clarence served 4 years active duty in the United States Army and retired from the US Army Reserve and US Postal Service. Clarence leaves to cherish his memories: wife of 57 years, Dorothy W. Hudson; 3 daughters: Pamela Hudson (Rick) Watkins, Montgomery, AL; Vicki Hudson (Ernest) Lyons, Columbus, GA.; Cassandra Hudson (Cory) James, Highland Village, TX.; three brothers: Alfred Hudson, Atlanta, GA.; Clarence Lee Hudson (Julia), Mobile, AL.; Morris Hudson (Rosa), Brooklyn,, NY.; one sister, Gloria Thompson, Montgomery, AL.; a special cousin raised as a sister, Carolyn (Larry) Brown, Millbrook, AL.; nine grandchildren: Ayana Lyons, Rick Harrington Watkins (Tyra), Jonathan Lyons, Courtney Lyons, William Watkins, Madison Watkins, Gavin James, Chloe James and Hudson James; two great-grandchildren: Thalia Lyons and Jayce Lyons; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A devoted friend, Mr. Alvin Stephens. Special thanks to Latreece Esco with Right at Home and the Jackson Hospital 6th floor West Nursing Staff and Doctors.
Viewing will be Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Ross-Clayton Funeral Home. FACE MASK REQUIRED. Burial will follow in Eastwood Memorial Gardens.
