Mattie Delois Blair, age 71, a resident of Goshen, died Monday, October 24,2022 at Baptist Medical Center South. A homegoing service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 1pm at Macedonia Miracle Kingdom & Worship Center, 3070 Selma Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36108 with Pastor Earl Davis officiating and Ross-Clayton Funeral Home of Montgomery directing. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 12-1pm preceding the funeral. There will not be an interment following the homegoing service. Mattie went home to be with the Lord on the morning of October 24th in the presence of her four children; Joe Howard Blair, Jr, Christopher Shawn Blair, Timothy Curtis Blair, and Felecia Latoya Blair and granddaughter, Shalai Aniese Blair. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Kelpia Lee Johnson, Ruby Ester Shepard; sister: James Edward Johnson and Jimmy Rufus Johnson; brothers. She is survived by her ex-husband Joe Howard Blair and siblings: Aaron Johnson Jr, Virginia Lee Johnson, Leroy Johnson, Evelyn Wilson (George), Clara Roberta Johnson, Ruthie Mae Johnson, Marvin Randolph Johnson, James Kevin Johnson and nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a devoted daughter, caring sister, dedicated mother, thoughtful aunt, faithful church elder, and supportive friend. She will be deeply missed. She was a member and Elder of Life Changers Worship Center, Troy, AL. Family and friends unable to attend the homegoing service, may pay their respects at a public viewing on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 2:00-8:00 pm at Ross-Clayton Funeral Home, 1412 Adams Ave, Montgomery, AL 36104.
Rest my sister your work here was complete I was so sorry to hear you had left and went Heaven . I'm go do my very best to be able to see you again. Your mother and father and all of there children we all went to the same church . You were really a beautiful sweet woman of God . I will always love your entire family , I'll be praying for all of your family and friends you have left behind from Alaska.
