Mr. Curtis Dawson

I miss you dad. We had just started to get a real, solid relationship before you had your second stroke. You never got to meet your grandkids, but I'm elated you did finally get to see their pictures and videos. I love you, and I wish I had more time to find out more about what made you... you. One thing I know for sure is the love for your family and friends I got in part of you, the other part my grandmother... but you always looked out for me and the kids once we got our relationship together and I will cherish that until the day I also leave this earth.

I am doing the best I can to do the Dawson name proud, but just realize I am teaching my kids all the things I know you wish you could have done with me. I keep your picture up in my bedroom as I have since before your passing as a means of you always looking out for me.

I miss and love you dad. I will come say my goodbyes formally at your last resting place when I'm all healed up. Love you so much.. so long for now.
