I send my heartfelt condolences to Ben and family in the passing of Eric although to us all he was Bae Bruh. Yes Ben, this is Gloria Burch Fluker. We grew up together. I was right around the corner. I will mention all of the names as I remember them from childhood. That will remind you how close we were. Ma Lou, Ma Sister , Little Jack, Bonita, ( my playmate and close friend ) Yvette and Columbia. Please know that your family Always loved me and treated me quite well. I have eaten at your table. When last we spoke it was after Bonita's transition. It has been years. Please feel free to reach out to me on Facebook . The foundation was built between me and your family back when I was a very young child. The fond memories never left. Again I am so sorry to learn of Bae Bruh's passing. 🙏🏽✝️🕊️🙏🏽 Gloria Burch Fluker
I hadn't seen Eric for decades, but I remember him well as a well-mannered boy with a pleasant disposition and easy smile. I'm sorry that we didn't know each other as adults. He was one year behind me at Lab High, but I lost touch with him after graduation. Nevertheless, the thought of him makes me smile, and the thought of his passing makes me sad. I extend my sincere condolences to Eric's family. Vanzetta Penn McPherson
Eric was a very kind and humble man l met him through his wife the love of his life , I am blessed to have known him, love you my dear friend Georgia Diane
Eric was one of my best friends, along with David Ross growing up as children. We lived around the corner from each other and spent countless hours playing and competing in sports. We were also classmates. My sister Sylvia noticed our bond and decided to name her sons Ronald and Eric. What a tribute. On behalf of the "Beverly Family" condolences to Georgia and the rest of the family. Much Love, Ronald Beverly
Eric was a classmate of my sister at Alabama State Lab High. But more than that he was a big brother to me and other kids who gravitated to him on the playground. He was an excellent athlete and member of Lab High's basketball team. I lost touch with Eric for a few years when I was in the Air Force but when I returned to Montgomery after retirement I ran into him at Walmart. We stood there for two hours catching up and vowed to keep in touch which we did every year for several years. I last talked to Eric this July. It was our longest talk ever lasting 4 hours. Each year I would tell him how much I appreciated his advice and guidance when I was a kid. I will miss those annual talks. Ben, always remember what Eric said about baseball, "good pitching stops good hitting". Clifford Murrell
