Mr. James Earl Boyd, a resident of Montgomery, AL., passed away August 24, 2024. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ross-Clayton Funeral Home. A burial will follow in Golden Link Cemetery.

I hope this helps with where my brother's snickname came from, Mr.Culman,the carpenter as I who built the family home, Willie Boyd
His nickname was Partner,he got the name from the carpenter that built the family house. He (the carpenter),when he came to work on the house, would ask,where is my partner?referring to James, the name stuck
To the family & Friends of one of our beloved childhood friends Partner. I often wander where his knick name came from. Our little small community have had its share of hardships. It is my prayer that each of you find peace during this difficult time. I am grateful to have known this youngman. Flatwood Forever! Blessings.
