Johnny Red's passing. We were in school together since Bellingrath and graduated in the Lanier c/o '85. He was always kind and so much fun to be around. I will never forget his infectious smile! Wow John I can't believe you're gone. I will never forget the life lessons I have learned from you. I was your shampoo assistant at Uptown Tanz on Woodley and when you were at Roots Salon. We had a lot of laughs.But you also taught me about being professional and being versatile. Not only were you my boss, you were my friend. Years later I could always pull up on you for a hairstyle, advice or just to chop it up. I'm gonna miss sitting on that bench in front of Another Chance. Your friendship made a difference in my life.And you had a big heart. I was just texting with you 2 weeks ago. I was supposed to come get my eyebrows arched when you came back in town. I did not expect to look on Facebook and see RIP Johnny Red! I rolled up to the shop that Friday night and you were sitting in the truck and as usual we have to have a shouting match before getting to the matter at hand. Can you cut my hair or not? Of course, you going to make that money so it was a yes! You told me your sinuses were acting up and me being me asked a hundred questions to make sure you had covered all tracks from COVID to antibiotics! You gave me that look as if to say alright already! I appreciate you so much for accommodating me with my wheelchair! Thank you for the love you shared, you are and will be missed!
