To the Davis Family We are sorry to hear about the recent passing of Bertha Davis. Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family during this hour of great sorrow. No there is never a welcomed time to hear about the passing of any family member or friend. The reporting of news of this kind only serves as a reminder of how far the human family has fallen from God's original purpose for His earthly family. Now, once again we find ourselves shedding many tears. We have once again lost someone who was special to many. And although we have many fond memories of Bertha and others, we rather have the real person back among the living. Our personal feelings are not out of place. This is what God also wants for us; that is to be reunited back with those who have died. God has the power and the desire to restore life back to our departed loved ones. HE has given us His personal promise that this arrangement will take place. This promise is recorded at John 5:28-29. As the text states, that God would cause a calling to go forth to those in the grave to stand up in life again. Just imagine what this time period will be like as we witness with our very eyes our departed loved ones standing up in life again. Really the future is bright for us, and for those who have fallen asleep in death. Our Creator wants people everywhere they reside to have strong faith in this future arrangement. So, in His great love for us, He has taken the time to preserve nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about the grand resurrection blessing that will take place earth wide. Here is just one such example that is recorded at Acts 9:36-42. I truly hope that all will get a chance to see how these verses will be applied to a great host of people in the very near future. In closing we encourage all to please keep this promise of God near your hearts at all times. Remember that when God makes a promise, it becomes reality. For it is impossible for God to lie. (Titus 1:2)
With Deepest Sympathy to the Davis, Jiles, and Belser families in your time of Bereavement.

On behalf of Clay Street Baptist Church, we send our deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to the family. Mrs. Bertha was a faithful and dedicated member who song in the choir, worked in the kitchen, was a deaconess etc. She worked along with my mother, the late Sarah Gaston. The last song I remember her singing, was "Jesus Cares". Yes, He Cares for You. Praying for you, Clay Street Church. Minister Murphy Green, Pastor.
