There are simply no words to adequately express the truly heartfelt loss my heart carries since hearing the news of Soror Thelma's passing. Not only was she my Soror, she was also my mentor, and most importantly a wonderful friend. From the day I first met Mrs. Burton, Mrs. Claudia Maxie, and Mrs. Patricia Free in 5th grade at Harrison Elementary, Soror Thelma called me "her little girl". I will forever cherish the many memories of love and laughter we shared throughout the years. To her family, I offer my sincere condolences for the loss of your angel-she was an amazing light in this world and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
