Obituary For Ms. Doris Lacey
Ms. Doris Lacey, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed March 24, 2026. Viewing and visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2026 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30p.m.. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from Ross-Clayton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter E. Ellis, officiating. Burial will follow in Brassell Cemetery.
Doris was born on August 10, 1941 to the late Moulton and Mary Taylor. She passed peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Alabama State College (Alabama State University). Doris served as librarian for over three decades at Billingsley High School in Billingsley, Alabama.
Memories of her life and legacy will be cherished by her children,Marcelle (Lloyd) Glenn, Joseph (Shunta) Lacey, Jocelyn Lacey of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Lynedra Glenn, Brandon (Dareetha) Glenn, JaMichael (Megan) Glenn, Doria Lacey; great-grandson, Blake Glenn; extended family, friends, former colleaguesand students.
