Remembering "Kay-Kay"...
With her smile, pleasant disposition, and deep love of her family and all things of God, Karen E. (Hansom) Fonseca will remain in the hearts and minds of the lives she touched along life's journey. From Buffalo, New York onto her travels across the globe that ultimately led her to Montgomery, Alabama, she has shown others what faith in God can do. Thanks be to God.
May those who carry on her legacy be strengthened by cherished memories of HERstory, and their hearts be filled with inner peace and unspeakable joy.
Karen Fonseca will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and a heart that made space for others. She was someone I could pray with, talk with, and truly laugh with—often all in the same moment. Her love for the Word of God was not just something she spoke about, but something she lived. My conversations with her left me feeling encouraged, uplifted, and loved.
She had a way of bringing comfort and clarity through faith-filled talks, and her presence carried warmth that made me feel at ease. Whether in moments of prayer or in lighthearted laughter, Karen created meaningful connections that will not be forgotten.
Her journey was marked by resilience and courage. She fought with strength and grace, and that fight is something I hold with deep gratitude and pride. Through it all, she remained grounded in her faith, leaving an example of perseverance and trust in God.
Karen will be deeply missed, but the memories of her voice in prayer, her joyful spirit, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in my heart and I'm sure in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy is one of faith, love, and unwavering strength. Now she's in that great cloud of witnesses. Hallelujah!
To the family just know that God is with you and he is able to carry you through. He is your comforter and your healer. Absent from the body, present with the Lord will be praying for you.
