Mr. Rufus Earl Bailey a resident of Montgomery, AL. was born on January 13, 1957 to the late Willie James Townsend and the late Mary Bailey Carter. He transitioned from this earth on January 30, 2021. Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 12:00 noon from New Hope C.M.E. Cemetery (Salem) Cemetery, Fitzpatrick, AL. He was a 1977 graduate of George Washington Carver High School. He loved to watch football. He leaves to cherish his memory four brothers, Rev, Richard E. Carter (Dianne); Cleveland B. Bailey, Anthony L. Bailey, Walter A. Bailey; one sister, Leartis B. Matthews (Keith, Retired Lieutenant Colonel); one uncle, Rufus Bailey (Cassie); twenty-one nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
