Obituary For Alfred Rudd
Alfred Lawrence Rudd, 91, of Memphis, TN passed away on April 19, 2025 at Saint Francis Hospital Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee. Alfred was born on August 2, 1933 to Alfred and Grace Lewis in Memphis, Tennessee. He is survived by his nephews, Geoffrey A. (Courtney) and Robert (Christina) Lewis. Three nieces Kyndall Lewis, Rachel Harris, and Labetta Lewis. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Woods and Grace Lewis. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Homes (Walnut Grove) in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 2nd, 2025 at 12:00 PM in the Centenary United Methodist Church with officiating. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.

I extend condolences to the family of Mr. Alfred Rudd. I was in his eighth grade homeroom at Barret's Chapel High School. He was also my social studies teacher. He was always very professional cared about his students and was highly respected. He was also a renowned musician. I heard him perform on several occasions. May you continue to live out his legacy of maintaining excellence in all that you do.
