Obituary For Anthony James

Anthony Lewis James “Smoke” of Bartlett, Tennessee, was born on August 13, 1972, to Lewis Wilson and Francis James in East St. Louis, Illinois. As a boy, he grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and as a teenager, he grew up in Water Valley, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Water Valley High School, Class of 1991. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1991 until 1996. He was currently employed at Electrolux in Bartlett, Tennessee. Anthony enjoyed singing, cooking, writing and telling jokes. He was always smiling and loved to make anyone that came in contact with him smile. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his mother, Francis (Kevin) Bieski; his son, Anthony Lavelle James of Arlington, Texas; three daughters, Tanea & Tamea James and Ja Miricle Campbell, all of Water Valley, Mississippi; two brothers, Jeffrey (Keri) James of Water Valley, Mississippi, and Tracy James of Grenada, Mississippi; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Wilson; and his sister, Trulynn James.

A viewing is scheduled for Friday May 22, 2020 from 3 until 5 P.M. and service of remembrance Saturday May 23, 2020 10 A.M. both at R. S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home 2944 Walnut Grove Rd. Interment will be in West Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery.
