Obituary For Anthony Loren Dickerson

Pastor Anthony Loren Dickerson, 64, of Bartlett, TN passed away on September 30, 2026 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Anthony was born on May 2, 1962 to Charles Dickerson and Anita Anderson Ray in Memphis, Tennessee. He was married to Valarie Granderson on August 27, 1988. Pastor Dickerson was the pastor of the Greater Prospect Baptist Church for over 30 years.

He is survived by his spouse Valarie Dickerson; two children, Lauren Nicole Dickerson and Brandon Ross Dickerson; one grandchild Adison "Scooter" Dickerson; his parents, Laverne Dickerson, Patricia Willis, and Dr. Frank E Ray Sr.; and six siblings, Tracci Hutchinson (Antonio), Darian Dickerson, Michaela Heard (Samuel), Jade Hawkins (Lerone), Frank Edward Ray Jr, and Amber Ray-Bartlett (Brian Bartlett Jr).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Dickerson and Anita Anderson Ray. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Greater Prospect Baptist Church located at 1184 College Street Memphis, TN 38106. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the New Salem Baptist Church located at 2231 S Parkway E Memphis, Tennessee.
