Obituary For Booker T. Nailor

Booker T. Nailor, 83, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Leland, Mississippi, Booker later moved to Memphis as a young boy, where he built a life defined by hard work, family, and service to others. He was a dedicated mechanic who took great pride in his work and believed deeply in helping those around him. Known for his helpful nature and steady presence, he never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need. Whether fixing a car, offering advice, or supporting his loved ones, he generously gave his time, talents, and heart to others.

Outside of work, Booker enjoyed gardening, spending quality time with family, and relaxing with friends.

He found joy in life’s simple moments and treasured the relationships he built throughout his life. His kindness, wisdom, and generous spirit touched many lives and will be remembered by all who knew him.

He cherished his family deeply and leaves to honor his memory four children: Lashalle Nailor, Lisa Nailor, Terreyo Nailor, Sr., and Cynthia Nailor.

He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Terreyo Nailor, Jr., Goldovea Coleman, Marlon White, Taraj Roby, Carmyn Boston, Chance Boston, and Brendayea Nailor; and two great-grandchildren, Baylei Watkins and Melody White, who will continue to honor his memory.

Booker is also survived by seven siblings, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Christine Nailor, Lorraine Nailor, and Danny Nailor.

Booker will forever be remembered for his strength, kindness, and unwavering love. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Friday, June 5, 2026 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 10:00am both services will be held at RS Lewis & Sons Funeral Home 2944 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38111.

Burial will be in New Park Cemetery 4536 Horn Lake Rd, Memphis, TN 38109
