Obituary For Claranette Henderson

Claranette Henderson was born on September 14, 1957, in Tunica, Mississippi, to Dallas Marlow and Elnora Henderson. She was the third of seven siblings. Net, as she was called, gave her life over to God many years ago. She was a constant reader of her bible and she loved to share scriptures. Everyone who knew her understood that she loved her children and grandchildren. She loved listening and encouraging others. She also enjoyed writing. She received her CNA certification and worked at Oakville Healthcare Center in Memphis for six years, where she loved taking care of others. She was a very caring and nurturing person.

Claranette “Net” Henderson was preceded in death by her parents – father, Dallas Marlow, and mother, Elnora Henderson; her sister, Gloria “Skip” Hall; and her sons, Kevin Henderson and Kalunn Henderson.

She is survived by her two sons, Corey Elliott and Reginald Elliott; three sisters, Meleara Eulls (Hugh), Regina Williams, and Teresa Marlowe; two brothers, Ricky Henderson and Darrin Henderson (Jocelyn); five grandchildren, Cortez Henderson, Ian Henderson, Kalunn Henderson, Sheneka Henderson and Cornisha Henderson; and four great-grandkids, Devail Henderson, M’Kail Henderson, Kaveon Henderson and Jade Henderson. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, friends, and her special “best friend-sister,” Regina Williams.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at RS Lewis & Sons 2944 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis TN 38111. Funeral service will be Friday, June 16, 2023 11:00am at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church 1072 Wellington, Memphis, TN 38126

Interment will be in Memorial Park Southwoods, 5485 Hacks Cross Rd, Memphis, TN 38125
