Clinton Oscar Finley, "Black," as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, came into this world on March 8, 1952, to the joy of his parents, the late Corene Finley and the late Clinton Finley. He was a strong, protective, hard worker and a loving dad.
Clinton confessed Christ and was baptized at an early age. Clinton attended Douglass High School, Class of 1970. Clinton worked as a contractor and was instrumental in the development of the Hasting Park Subdivision. In the years leading up to his retirement, he worked for Precision Plastic. He loved music, hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family.
Clinton will be remembered for his unwavering honesty and good taste in authentic suits.
He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, Tarlisha Finley-Cooper, Elise Norton, and Tiajuana (Dwayne) Finley-Williams; five sons, Clinton (Erica) Oscar Finley-Cooper, Sr., Cornelius (Lauren) Finley, Sr., Corey Finley, Timothy Finley, and Christopher Finley; his sister, Earlene Eaton; fourteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He will be truly missed by his special friend, Minnie Hunter, and a host of nieces, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bouvier Wright, Jr.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 10, 2023 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, November 11, 2023 10:00am both will be held at RS Lewis & Sons 3651 Austin Peay Hwy, Memphis, TN 38128.
Interment will be in Pleasant Rest Memorial Gardens, 6235 Raleigh Millington Rd, Millington, TN 38053
