Obituary For Derrel B Merchant
Derrel B Merchant, 66, of Memphis, TN passed away on February 10, 2026 at his home in Memphis, Tennessee. Derrel was born on June 16, 1959 to Eugene and Nancy Merchant in Memphis, Tennessee. He is survived by his spouse Martha Merchant ; two children, Katrina Merchant-Ayers and Derrel Smith; and four sisters, Adrian Denise Merchant of Memphis, TN, Merilian Taylor, Doris Pride, and Debra Coleman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Wilson and Nancy Merchant. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27th, 2026 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Homes (Walnut Grove) in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at 12:00 PM in the R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Homes 2944 Walnut Grove with officiating. Burial will take place at New Park Cemetery.
