Doris Lee Swain , , 88 of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Decendent's Residence in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Thursday, July 23, 1936 in Marvell, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Hoskins and the late Canzater Far-Wells. Surviving are sons, Lloyd Brown, Jessie Swain , Rev. Terry Swain , Kerwin Swain and Michael Swain , daughters, Janice Swain Hughes of Millington, TN, Etta Alexander, Barbara McCracken, Helen Renee Albert , Doris Denise Swain and Felicia Annette Swain, brothers, James P Hoskins (Minnie) and Paul J Hoskins, sisters, Mercy B Wells and Mary Coleman; 26 grand children; 40 great grand children.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, September 20, 2024, at R S Lewis & Sons, 3651 Austin Peay Highway, Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Oak Grove M B Church located at 7289 Stage Road Memphis, Tennessee 38133. Interment will be in Pleasant Rest Cemetery, Millington, TN.
