Doris Jean Lee was the only child born to the late Robert E. Lee and Annie Lee McCelland on August 28, 1929, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Jean was a secretary for 30 years for the Memphis City Schools System. She retired and later returned to work, working five years at the Board of Education.
Jean was a life member of Metropolitan Baptist Church. She was a very faithful member, participating in various auxiliaries.

Jean was later married to Rev. Jimmie Walker, September 24, 1992. They enjoyed each other’s comfort and joy until his death.
Jean was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Constance Andre' Harris-Graham, to carry on her legacy; one grandson, Attorney Dalton L. Hooks (Samantha) of Las Vegas, NV; one granddaughter, Anna Jean Ball-Youngman (Will) of Memphis, TN; and three great-grandchildren, Hailee Aragon of Las Vegas, NV, Kaylan Youngman and Will Austin Youngman, both of Memphis, TN. She also leaves to cherish her legacy a host of family, friends, colleagues and loved ones near and far.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 9:00am-10:55am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am both will be held at Metropolitan Baptist Church 767 Walker Ave, Memphis, TN 38126
Internment will be Monday, July 31, 2023 11:00am at Memphis National Cemetery 3568 Townes Ave, Memphis, TN 38122
