Dorothy Currie, 82 of Memphis, Tennessee died on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Saint Francis Hospital Memphis, Tennessee. Born Sunday, February 6, 1938 in Wynne, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Will Driver and the late Jennie Moore Driver.
She was retired Director of Environmental Services for U T Bowld Hospital. Surviving are sons, Harrison Richard Currie IV (Yolaunda), Daren Orlando Currie Sr. (Rachell), and Jamaal Rahshad Currie (LaToria), daughter, Yolandrea C Currie ( Luther Menifee, a special friend), brothers, Jessie Driver (Stella) and Joe H Driver (Ethel), sister, Shirley Shannon, a devoted daughter-in-law, Danielle Currie, 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to celebrate her home going.
The viewing will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 2944 Walnut Grove, due to the Covid-19 stipulations.
We can only allow ten people in the building at a time for viewing. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 29 at R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home located at 2944 Walnut Grove due to the COVID-19 stipulations we can only allow 30 family members to attend.
The funeral service is for family only, however you can go to our website and view the service at www.rslewisandsonsfuneralhome.com.
Interment will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery following the service.
