Obituary For Elizabeth Cobb

Mrs. Elizabeth Hammond Cobb was born in Como, Mississippi on October 09, 1947 to the late Jocephus and Sally Hammond. Elizabeth was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, at the tender age of 12 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, of Senatobia, Mississippi. She then joined Liberation Community Church, under the leadership of Dr. James Herbert Nelson,III of Memphis, TN until she could no longer attend. God called her home on December 11, 2021 at Methodist University Hospital. Elizabeth attended North Panola High School in Como, Mississippi and graduated in 1967.She was united in marriage with Mr. Joe B. Cobb, Sr., on October 31, 1986. She was a loving person who loves to spend time with her family and friends. Elizabeth was a care taker until she retired. Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Joe B. Cobb, Sr. Her children, seven daughters, Brinda Williams, Deborah Williams(Coyce),Sandy Becton(Eric),Tina Marshall(Jason), Trina Williams(Jeremy), all of Memphis,TN,Jonetta Cobb, Erica Cobb(Andre), both of Houston, TX, Four sons Durey Burnett(Mia),Joe Bryan Cobb, Jr,(Ashley), Jeremey Cobb, all of Memphis,TN,Jermaine Cobb of Oklahoma, Nebraska. Her Step-children Lakeshea Fitzgerald( Alex), Demarchio Wrice, both of Memphis,TN.Two sisters, Josephaine Puryear(Bemis) of Memphis, TN, Ada Mae Howard, of Racine,WI,Two brothers Marshall Hammond, Taylor Hammond (Cassaline),both of Memphis, TN, Four brothers-in-law; Two sisters-in-law; Fifty grandchildren, 57 great- grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by both parents and son Randy Bernard Williams, Sr., and loving fur grandson UNO; other sisters and brothers.
