Obituary For Gary Newman
Gary Newman, 66 of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at his residence in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born Thursday, May 1, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Harry Newman and the late Gloria Norris Newman. Also surviving are sisters, Francine Newman and Colette Newman. Also, a lifetime mate and love of his life, Genella Stewart Ward affectionally know as Ge-Ge. The memorial service will be at 5:00 PM on Monday at R S Lewis & Sons located at 3651 Austin Peay Highway Memphis, Tennessee 38128. A reception will be provided for family and friends immediately following the service.

Officer Newman (often called Mr. Gary) at our Methodist Hospice Residence, where he worked his assigned shift, (Mon, Thurs. Friday, Sat. & Sun.(7am-3:00pm) so respectfully, responsibly and compassionately. He will truly be missed by many. Mr. Gary was so loved not only by God, but also, by the Hospice angels/staff at our facility. He was truly "a God sent, and we embraced his presence and team player's approach, as a caring individual, assisting patient families that were also experiencing "end of life care" patients, their families and our amazing team. Our sincere prayers and condolences to the family that you may receive God's grace, strength, comfort and peace during this very challenging season and time.
