Obituary For Geraldine Fugh

Geraldine Fugh, a peaceful and loving soul, was born January 26, 1948, to Rosetta Owens and Edwin Owens, Sr. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and faithful servant of God whose gentle spirit touched everyone blessed to know her.

Ms. Fugh was a graduate of Manassas High School, Siena College, and Cumberland University. She loved to travel, spend time with her family, and rise as early as 3:00 a.m. to spend time with God and prepare for her day.

She received Christ as her Savior at the tender age of 9 and lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and unwavering faith in God. As a dedicated member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, she served joyfully as a Sunday school teacher and pianist, and other various roles. She exemplified what it meant to walk in God’s grace. She often stated that “people tend to ask God, what can He do for me? When they should ask God, what can I do for You?” Her quiet strength, loving heart, and peaceful presence made her a pillar of comfort and encouragement to her family, friends, and church community.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved family: her daughter, Chandra V. Fugh; her granddaughter, Yasman L. Miller, her great-granddaughter, Symphony A. Brown; and her siblings, Edwin Owens, Jr., Rosie Mae Owens, and Drucilla Owens. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Though she has departed this earthly life, the love she poured into others will continue to bloom in every life she touched.

Her legacy of peace, faith, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 4715 New Allen Rd, Memphis, TN 38128. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025 11:00am in Forest Hill Midtown 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis, TN 38106
