Horace Granger was born to parents of Dutro Granger II and Ora Granger McDonald on March 23, 1937 in Memphis. Horace graduated from Manassas High School. Horace was a carrier for A.E.L. for several years picking up labs from different hospitals in the Mid-South. Horace was also a van driver for Pee Wee Wisdom Learning Center. Horace retired after 30+ years as a truck driver for East Texas Motor Freight, Jones Truck Line, and Consolidated Freight.
Horace enjoyed traveling, riding/driving, and visiting places. Horace loved to eat at Piccadilly Restaurant. He was preceded in death by his father Dutro II, his beloved mother Ora McDonald, his son Horace/Little Horace, his sisters Dollena Jennings, Kathleen Gibson, Dutro Granger III and Dave Ella Roberson. Horace married Bobbie Jean Branch, and to this union 4 children were born. Tony, Constance, Dennen, and Tarsha. He was also the father of Horace Jr. The marriage ended in divorce. Later Horace married Bella Lester.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 10:00am-11:55am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00noon both will be held at RS Lewis & Sons 3651 Austin Peay Hwy, Memphis, TN 38128.
Internment will be in Memorial Park 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119
