James Douglas Taylor Jr, 78, of Memphis, TN passed away on February 17, 2026 while vacationing with his loving wife at sea. James was born on September 15, 1947 to James Douglas Taylor Sr. and Geraldine Hollowell in Heth, Arkansas. He is survived by his spouse Sederia Jones Taylor and three children, Mario C Taylor, Myron A Taylor Sr, and Tiffany M Taylor Nash, eleven grand children and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Douglas Taylor Sr and Geraldine Hollowell. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6th, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Homes (Walnut Grove) in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the St Peter Missionary Baptist Church 1410 Pillow Street Memphis, Tennessee 38106 with Pastor Greeene, officiating. Burial will take place at New Park Cemetery.
