Obituary For Joseph Mitchell

Joseph Mitchell, 92 of Memphis, Tennessee died on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.

Born Wednesday, September 14, 1927 in Batesville, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Lee O Mitchell and the late Sallie Adair Mitchell.

He was the husband of Marjorie Jones Mitchell. Surviving are daughters, District Missionary/Chaplin Mary J Burke (Elder Louis), Sallie Turner (Jimmie), Bobbie A Lewis ((Tyrone), Darlene Shinault and Denise Shinault, brother, F R Mitchell (Annie) , sisters, Mattie Holmes and Lillie Pettis; 39 grandchildren host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends to celebrate his home going. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:55 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at South Parkway East Church of Christ, 2063 S Parkway East, Memphis, Tennessee.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at South Parkway East Church of Christ located at 2063 S Parkway East Memphis, Tennessee 38114.

Interment will be in New Park Cemetery, Memphis, TN.
