Mother Julia Scott Ward was an ambassador for Christ, her grace, wisdom, and patient for people was second to no one. Mother Ward strived daily to let her light so shine, that men would see her good works, but Glorify God in heaven. So glad to say that I was one of their God-daughters. I missed you already Mother.
My sincere condolences to the Ward family.
To my dear family, I extend my deepest sympathy for the loss of Aunt Juju. We are praying for strength, comfort, and peace as we grieve together. May God's love surround us and may her memory forever live in our hearts. God Bless you
My condolences on the loss of Mother Ward. She was an incredible remarkable lady who shined a light on everyone she touched. She will be missed.
God has smiled on you Mom Julia Scott Ward, and each of us received an extra touch from heaven when you called us your children. My late sister Pastor Chonita Holliday daily would talk about the anointing over your lift, and when you came to Billings, Montana and sang the Lords prayer January 1997 the saints still talk about how heaven poured down glory over all that heard you. Kaleigha Holliday called you grandma because you stepped into and loved her with the Love of God. Mom, l shall always carry you in my spirit and we see you again! We love you with an eternal love Mom! Elder Charlotte Holliday and Kaleigha Holliday! KLU, JNF
To the Ward family, and to all who loved Mother Julia Scott Ward, may the Lord Himself be your comfort, your keeper, and your strength in this season of transition. Earth has suffered a loss, but heaven has gained a jewel. I pray that the Father's grace will cover your hearts, lift the heavy places, and let His peace rule in your spirits as you reflect on the blessed life and enduring legacy of Mother Ward.
When I think of Mother Ward, I think of a jewel among jewels. She carried herself with a practical grace that caused her life to shine with quiet brilliance, holy dignity, and seasoned wisdom. Like a finely polished jewel, she revealed many blessed facets: wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, missionary, evangelist, church mother, prayer warrior, retired educator, and cherished friend. Like a fine diamond, she reflected the full expression of the three C's: Cut, Clarity, and Carat. There was cut in her strength, because life shaped her, but it did not break her. There was clarity in her wisdom, because she walked with discernment, conviction, and spiritual understanding. There was carat in her worth, because her value was great, her substance was weighty, and her life was rich with purpose in the hands of Almighty Father. She showed strength without harshness and grace without weakness, and in both she reflected the beauty of a life anchored in the Holy Spirt. She was a woman of depth, dignity, holiness, and spiritual beauty. She did not merely occupy space; she left an imprint. She did not merely attend church; she helped carry the work. She did not merely speak of Jesus; she lived a life that bore witness to His faithfulness. Truly, "her price is far above rubies" (Proverbs 31:10). And now, having fought a good fight, finished her course, and kept the faith, she rests among the Lord's treasured ones, for He has declared, "They shall be mine... when I make up my jewels" (Malachi 3:17).
Even in this season of her elevation, her life still speaks. Her prayers still echo. Her example still shines. And the beauty of her witness will not fade, for the fragrance of a righteous life lingers long after the vessel has gone home to glory.
My deepest sympathy and prayers for "Mom" Ward's family. I met Bishop Ward and Mrs. Ward many years ago, through our mutual friend and sister Rev. Charlotte. Their kindness and faith were so powerful. May she rest in peace with our Father and Savior.
