Obituary For Justin Walker

Justin Terrell Walker was born October 18, 1998, to Janice Tenille Walker. Justin accepted Christ at a young age. He was baptized at age 12 by Pastor Jerome Scales Jr.

Justin graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2017 and attended Lane College. He was an active member of the Centenary United Methodist Church Youth Group. He also participated in the Ivy League and was a graduate of the Alpha Memphis Leadership Academy.

Justin was a lover of performing arts, as he wrote plays, did public speaking and was an aspiring rapper; additionally, he was a lover of animals, affectionately known to us as our own “Dr. Doolittle.”

Justin was an all-around people person, lover of family and life as a whole, and an amateur comedian who loved to make us all laugh – if you know, you knew!

Justin was received in glory by his loving grandparents, Ms. Barbara Ann Walker and Mr. Joseph Walker Jr.

Justin has left to cherish his memory, his mother, Janice Walker-Phillips (Kareem); his great-grandfather, Joseph Walker, Sr.; his Paw-Paw, Horace Ford, Sr.; his sibling, Kareema Phillips; his uncle, Horace Ford Jr. (Deirdra); his aunt, Jordan Walker (Ansu); his uncle, Joseph Walker III; his godmother, Candice Brown; and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins who love him dearly.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Celebration of Life will be Friday, April 19, 2024 12:00 noon both will be held at RS Lewis & Sons, 3651 Austin Peay Highway, Memphis, Tennessee 38128.

Interment will be in Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery, 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis, TN 38106
