Obituary For Kenneth Mills
Kenny was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Eloise and Clyde Mills on July 19, 1961. In his youth, he found joy in being an auto mechanic. After graduating Douglass High School, he went on to pursue a career in truck driving where he made it a personal goal to travel to every state in the nation. He worked for many major corporations such as Carrier Air Conditions, PRAXAR, Great Wide Industries, 10 Road Express, APAC Constructions and Mills Farm Industries,
While pursuing his dreams as a truck driver, Kenny gave his life to Christianity and was a servant of the Lord. In addition to serving in the church, he was also a dedicated and loving father. During Kenny’s downtime, he also had a passion for sports, which football often attracted his attention. His favorite radio station was WDIA 1070 where he was an authentic and loyal listener. He was well known for his cooking skills as he enjoyed entertaining family and friends with cookouts. He was very laid back and always love to help anyone he could.
Kenny was preceded in death by one sibling Cedric Mills (Jeyse). He is survived by his children: Kendra R. Mills and Kenneth Mills Jr., siblings: Joe Cole (Audrey), Carrie Jean Mills, Clyde Mills Jr., Denise Nelson, Anthony Mills (Linda), Maria Mills-Bortters (Hervey) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends for a memorial service Saturday, April 13, 2024 2:00pm at RS Lewis & Sons 2944 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38111
