Obituary For Laura Thompson

Laura Mae Thompson, 83 of Covington, Tennessee died on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Saint Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, October 11, 1939 in Henderson, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Arnie V. Green and the late Almer Z (Dickey) Green. She was preceded in death by her husband Hiawatha Barham Thompson and two brothers Robert H Green and Ollie L. Green.

She is survived by daughter, Veronica Nesbitt; Sons, Jimmie (Kanika) Thompson, Billy Thompson, Annie Rutland, and adopted daughters Marilyn Anderson, Augela Cannon, Edith Gray, and Monica Thompson; brothers John (Earline) and Sparky Green; thirty- eight grand-children, twenty-eight great grand-children, and four great great grand-children, ten nieces and nephews, twenty- grand nieces and nephews and a host of great grand nieces and nephews, relatives, friends, church family, and former coworkers.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 11:00am to 11:55am with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon both will be held at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church located at 1785 Wooten St Covington, Tennessee 38019.

Interment will be in Townsend Cemetery, Covington, TN.
