Lawrence Aaron Spicer was born on November 24, 1932 in Memphis,TN to the late Mary and Jack Spicer. He departed this life after a short illness on July 9, 2022. As an adolescent Lawrence attended Larose Elementary School and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1952. He entered the U.S. Army in 1953 and served for two years. He began as an apprentice printer with the Rodney Baber Print Company in the mid-1950s and then went on to be the lead printer for the Memphis Chamber pf Commerce. Lawrence ultimately decided to lead his own company, the L.S. Print Shop, and did so successfully for over 30 years, printing projects for many notable companies in Memphis. In addition to printing, he loved his family dearly and was an avid sports fan. To cherish his memory, Lawrence leaves behind his only living brother Winston "Doug" Spicer, his son Larry Spicer, Sr., his grandchildren Lynn Spicer, Jr. (Tiffany), Lori Spicer Robertson (Eric), Jaron Spicer, Brittany Spicer, and Larry Spicer, Jr. Lawrence also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 11:00am-12:00 noon with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon both will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church 918 Looney Ave
Internment will be following the services in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road
