My heart is with the Shaw family as we honor the life and legacy of my cousin, Pastor Larry Shaw. A true servant of God has finished his earthly assignment and returned home to glory.

To Kim, Ingrid, Sherri, his children and everyone who loved him — I am lifting you up in prayer. I pray that God's presence surrounds you with comfort, strength, and peace. May the Lord hold your hearts gently and remind you that Larry's spirit lives on in every life he touched, every message he preached, and every soul he encouraged.

His faith, his ministry, and his love for God will continue to shine as a lasting testimony. Though we feel the weight of his absence, Heaven is rejoicing as he rests safely in the arms of the Lord.

News like this is never easy, and my heart aches deeply for your loss, Sis Sherri, children, grandchildren, and family. Thank you, Pastor Shaw, for being a part of Shawn's and my wedding and for speaking life into us. I remember every time we would tell you we were having another baby, you would always laugh and be so encouraging—it meant a lot, truly. This is not goodbye, but the promise that we will see you again soon. Rest well. To the church family in Memphis, you are in my prayers, and I send love and hugs your way from the Most High. My condolences go out to the family. He was a very special person to all who knew him his smile would light up a room like no other always kind words for anyone he came in contact with I grew up with his sons Josh and Lawrence in church. Prayers to the family he will definitely be missed

Larry Shaw made a profound difference in my life. I remember meeting him at Olive Garden, where the very first thing he showed me was the Bible. We spoke almost every day about scripture; he had a way of explaining it so clearly that even a child could understand. He even taught me how to lose weight. Instead of taking me to a gym, he took me to the grocery store and showed me exactly which healthy alternatives to choose for the foods I loved. Whenever I tell people about my journey of coming back to the church, I always talk about how Larry opened up the Bible for me—from then on, it was history. Larry was a massive influence on my life. My deepest condolences go out to Sherry, Lawrence, and Josh. You are all in my prayers.

Sheri, My heartfelt condolences go out to you and the family. Hearing about Larry's passing has truly broken my heart. He and I met on our very first day at Lambuth College, and from that moment a bond was formed that I will always cherish. The memories we built together are treasures I will carry for the rest of my life. I'm praying that God surrounds you with His comfort, His strength, and His unfailing love as you walk through this painful season. May He hold you close and give you the peace that only He can provide.
