Leon Edwards was born on May 30,1937 in Memphis, Tennessee to Louis and Augusta Edwards, who preceded him in death. Leon accepted Christ at an early age. Leon married Amerea, who preceded him in death and unto this union was born to three boys, Martinous Leander Edwards, Charles Edwards, who preceded him in death, and Dubose Edwards. Leon Edwards transitioned from this life on July 9, 2019 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Martinous, Dubose and Corey, and one daughter Penny, six grandchildren, Martinous II, Kayla, Kaniyha, Oraid, Jamelia, Tia, Dubose Leon, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, three God-Children, Reginald Taylor, Marquita Ross, and Eric “Easy” Carter, Two sisters Viola Edwards of Arlington, Tennessee, and Corrento (Hudson) Taylor of Memphis, Tennessee, and a sister in law Bobbie Edwards of Nashville, TN. Leon had three sisters and two brothers who preceded him in death, Emma Jean Mitchell, Frances Brown, Dorothy Ivra, John Willie Edwards, and Louis Edwards Jr. Visitation Saturday July 20, 2019 from 9 am until service of celebration time 11 am at New Salem Baptist Church 2237 S Parkway E. Burial will follow in Pleasant Rest Memorial Gardens 3774 Raleigh Millington Rd.
