Loretta D Van Buren, 72 of Memphis, Tennessee died on Sunday, October 13, 2024 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Born Friday, February 22, 1952 in Holly Springs, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Ermit Dean and the late Earnestine Gatewood Boyd. She was a retired account manager for Xerox. Graduate of Melrose High School Class of 1971 and a graduate of RITT College. She was also a proud member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Corry Van Buren, Brother Stanley Boyd, Sisters Evelyn Van Buren an Yvette Boyd Hughes, Two grandchildren Gideon Welch and Taren Welch and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 2:00pm-2:55pm with a memorial service to follow at 3:00pm both will be held at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church 394 Vance Ave, Memphis, TN 38126
I met sweet Loretta at the Internal Revenue Service in the 70's. She was soft spoken then & still the same sweet soft spoken when i ran into her 40 years later. Deepest Sympathy to Corry and the family
