Louise Goodman was born February 22, 1949, to the late Johnny Frank Williams and Susie L. Goodman in Memphis, Tennessee.
Louise attended Alonzo Locke Elementary School, Porter Jr. High School, seventh and eighth grades, and Lincoln Jr. High; she graduated in 1967 from Booker T. Washington High School. Louise received her associate’s degree in business in 1969.
Louise’s career began at Lowenstein’s Department Store, and she later went to work for Holiday Inn. Louise furthered her career with the Memphis Fire Department. Louise was blessed to advance her career in business with Federal Express (now known as Fed Ex) here in Memphis, Tennessee. She was employed there for 27 years. Louise retired from Fed Ex in 2019.
At the age of thirteen, Louise was baptized at Pentecostal Temple Institutional under the leadership of Bishop J.O. Patterson Sr. After his passing in 1989, Louise joined Rehoboth Outreach Ministry Church of God In Christ, where she served as the Executive Secretary, under Pastor J.E. Lewis II. Later she became a member of Temple of Deliverance, The Cathedral of Bountiful Blessings, under the late Bishop G.E. Paterson. After his passing in 200 7, Louise joined Liberty Church of God In Christ under Bishop William S. Wright.
Louise Goodman was such an anointed woman of God. The Lord placed her to assist her nephew, Apostle Rodney Keith Goodman, at Kingdom Builders Worship Center International Church. The Lord placed it on her heart to become a member under her godson, Pastor Tyrone Hunt, at The Healing Cathedral Christian Church.
Louise Goodman was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Frank Williams and Susie L. Goodman, and her baby brother, Raymond Cleaves.
Louise leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted sister, Jacqueline L. Goodman; her brother, Willie Frank Porter; her nephew, Apostle Rodney K. (Jackie) Goodman; two nieces, Romani K. Jones and Jacqueline K. (Cory) Blackmon; god-nephew, Derrick Carter; great-nephews and great-nieces, John'Michael, Alandrilya, Jeremy, Ivan, Kelsee, Taylor, Naudia, Jewell and Paris; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-great-nephews, great-great-nieces, family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 1, 2023 11:00am at Healing Cathedral Christian Church 4523 Elvis Presley, Memphis, TN 38116
Interment will be private.
