Pearlean Washington

Peal was truly a "Jewel". She was my best friend for over 30 years. We attended undergraduate school together at LeMoyne-Owen College and worked together for the Commercial Appeal newspaper in Memphis, Tennessee. Both of us eventually became public school teachers for Memphis City Schools. She worked at Frayser High School for over 20 years, dedicating years of "excellent teaching" to the students of this North Memphis community. I truly miss this beautiful lady. I can't express how much I miss Pearl. Rest in Heaven. We will see each other again.
