Mr. Sammie Lee Glass was born December 21, 1939. He was the first-born child to the late Mrs. Johnnie Morrow and to the late Mr. Willie C. Glass in Saulsbury, Tn. At an early age Sammie professed his hope in christ at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Saulsbury, Tn under the leadership of Pastor C.J Clay.
Sammie attended Allen White High School Whiteville, Tn. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Emma Jean Pinson for over 63 years. Together they shared many years of marital contentment and happiness.
He was employed with General Casting for over 25 years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death two grandsons Patrick Glass and Jared Glass and one sister Nancy Barber.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Emma Glass, Four sons Paul Glass (Zenja), Terrance Glass, Timonthy Glass, and Kalon Glass (son/grandson). Eight brothers Jhonny Barber, Danny Morrow, Lewis C. Glass, Willie James Glass, Larry Glass, James Glass, Glenn Glass, and Gregory Glass. Three sisters Rosie Lee Glass, Ruby Jean McNeal, and Lurie Mae Valentine. One aunt Girtie Barber in St. Louis, M0. Five grandsons, one
granddaughter, seven great grandsons. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends for public viewing from 11am until service of celebration time 12pm at Vollentine Baptist Church,4181 New Allen Rd Memphis, TN 38128.
Interment will follow in New Park Cemetery, 4536 Horn Lake Rd Memphis, TN 38109.

My condolences to the Glass family. Mr Sammie was a very knowledgeable and caring man. I knew him when I was a child. He gave me my first job. Shining shoes. Very wonderful sole. You will be missed 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️
