Sylvia Lynn Relliford, was born on September 19, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, Cook County Hospital to Perry “Prumpies” Relliford and Rosa Lee Bradford Relliford. Sylvia transitioned in Antioch (Nashville), Tennessee, on Sunday, June 22, 2025, after a long illness.
Sylvia accepted Christ at a young age while under the ministry of Faith Miracle Clinic. She devoted her time to helping others and the community; she had a Servant’s heart. She was retired, spending most of her professional career as a Credit Manager, CEO of Daddi Aka Chicho Baby Disc Jockey & Graphic Services and the Establishmentarian of Louisville Urban Foundation.
She leaves to mourn her death, three sisters, Janet J. Stuckey (Danny), Morristein J. Holman (Gregory), and Dr. Regina R. Spivey (Dr. Rehoma), and two brothers, Clarence S. Jones, Jr. (Bernice) and Daryl A. Relliford. She also leaves to mourn her passing, her godson, Christian C. Walters; her goddaughter, Ms. De’Nerikka (Candii) Benjamin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, friends, and neighbors; her beloved support dog, Lulu aka “Butterfly Junior,” and her professional care team, Doanna Pruitt (MS) and Renata Chrisom (TN).
She was a proud graduate of LeMoyne-Owen College (graduated with honors as a junior), and a graduate of Ridgeway High School, Memphis, Tennessee. She was a Certified Credit Manager, Bookkeeper, Accountant, and a host of other certifications of academic, professional and civic achievements and honors.
“Here motto was, “He Sees the Best in Me”. She was non-judgmental, enjoyed life, entertainment, making a change, and giving all she had to the cause she supported.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 27, 2025 from 11:00am-11:55am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00noon both will be held at RS Lewis & Sons Funeral Home 2944 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38111.
Internment will be in Elmwood 824 S Dudley St, Memphis, TN 38104
