Our prayers are with the family during this challenging time.
I worked with "Tom" Williams in the Human Resources Department at the U. S. Postal Service for many years. During this time, we became close friends. He was always a candid, full of wisdom, and no-nonsense type of person. I was years younger than Tom, and when my father passed away, I would often go to him seeking advice. I also knew that he would give answers that I needed to hear, not necessarily what I wanted to hear. I admired this about him tremendously. We would share stories about our families as well as exchange Christmas cards yearly. I always remembered his birthday, and he remembered mine because we shared September birth dates. After his retirement, we still kept in touch with each other. Although I was sad to hear of his passing, I know he is at peace and gone to be with the Lord, as well as his beloved Emma, family, and friends. This is not goodbye my friend, but see you later.
