Vera Jean Watts, 79 of Memphis, Tennessee died on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at her home.
She is survived by one daughter Marissa Evans (Roger) of Memphis, TN; two granddaughters Lanette Moore (Brandon) and Michaela Watts both of Memphis, TN; three sisters Alexandria Lambert (Howard) of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Rhea Gillespie and Dionne Watts both of Memphis, TN, two brothers William Watts, III (DaSheena) and Terrance Watts (Cassandra) all of Memphis, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 4:00pm-6:00p.m. at RS Lewis & Sons 2944 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38111. Funeral service will be Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Berean Missionary Baptist Church 1666 E. Raines Rd. Memphis, TN 38116.
Interment will be immediately following at Memphis Memory Gardens 6444 Raleigh LaGrange Memphis, TN 38134.

Truly a professional in the Memphis Schools system. Her focused were the children. The community of Memphis and Shelby County was blessed to have such a person in our midst.
