Minister Wayne A. Freeman, Sr., was born December 25, 1956, to the late Joe Freeman and Velma Pryor Freeman.
Wayne accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of fifteen. He loved God and he loved being a witness for the Lord wherever he went. He loved traveling and fishing. God called him from fishing for fish and he started fishing for men.
He retired from Memphis Light, Gas and Water in 2012 as a journeyman pipefitter.
Wayne was joined together in holy matrimony to Francine Sims Freeman on January 21, 1977, and to that union was born four children and three bonus children were also added to their union.
On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, God called Wayne to his eternal home as he slept. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Freeman; two brothers, Minister Raymond Freeman and Stanley Freeman; and one daughter, Tracy Annette Freeman.
Minister Wayne A. Freeman leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of forty-six years, Francine Sims-Freeman; five sons, Terence O. Thornton (Brenda), John E. Polk, Jr. (Stacey), Joel C. Praying for the family during this difficult time. Minister Freeman was truly a man of God. Someone that truly enjoyed witnessing to others. I remember how we used to go out and witness to others. Family just know that he is in the Presence of the Lord. Minister Attlee Pruitt and family
