Obituary For Earl Adkins
Shall we gather at the river, Where bright angel feet have trod, With its crystal tide forever Flowing by the throne of God.
Earl Gene Adkins, 80, of Enfield, NC, transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the UNC Nash Medical Center.
A visitation will be held 7 pm - 9 pm, Wednesday, December 04, 2019 in the Reposing Room of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.
A Celebration of His Life will be held by the Graveside of the Elmwood Cemetery, Justice Branch Rd., Enfield, NC 27823 on Thursday, December 05, 2019 at 11 am.
Mr. Adkins was born July 16, 1939 in Enfield, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents Grover and Imogene Adkins, a brother Milton Adkins, his loving wife Judy Washington Adkins and son Chad Adkins.
Survivors include his son, Kelly Adkins and his wife Lisa of Rocky Mount, NC. His daughter, Beth Schuett and her husband Adam of Cary, NC. His 3 Grandsons, Joshua, Graham and Caleb Schuett of Cary, NC. His brother Grover and wife Janice of Enfield, NC. His mother-in-law Goldie Washington of Scotland Neck, NC.
Memorial contributions may be made to Enfield United Methodist Church.

Earl was for sure one of a kind. He was so much fun to be around. We are so sorry for this loss. Howard and I will be unable to attend the visitation and the funeral. He will be so missed.
