I had the pleasure of being a social work student with Eric. He was so kind and sweet, and he was always sure to greet me with a warm smile every class. His passion for social work and helping others was incredible. He will be missed so much. Sending so much love to his family. He was truly one of a kind.

Eric was in multiple of my classes at ECU and he made every single one of them special with his presence. He was a beautiful and kind spirit who was passionate about social work and aiding others in their survival in a cruel world. Sending my condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.

I worked with Eric at just save food. I would always put him on the schedule on the nights I worked because I had no problem seeing that the work got done. He was always so polite and would never complain. Eric will be surely missed in the community. My condolences to the family. Eric and I shared many classes together at ECU. He was passionate about racial inequalities and making a difference in the world. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and always looked at all perspectives. He was an amazing guy who will be missed dearly. Sending so much love to his family.

So sorry for your loss, I had a couple of classes with Eric at ECU. When he talked in class you could hear how kind hearted and passionate he was about what he was doing. He sent out a vibe that was so calming and comforting.My heart and prayers are with you all!

Eric was one the kindest and funniest people I have ever met. His smile just brightened up the room. I had the pleasure of being on the executive board of BSWSA with Eric and I had so much fun working with him. Eric was in 3 of my classes at ECU. He demonstrated a beautiful spirit, a loving heart, and a humble persona. He was intelligent, courageous, and ready to give all of himself to others. He so wanted to make his family proud by graduating and so desired to help those in need. I am sure he did indeed make his family proud and he always did helped others. With just a smile he could make someone feel better. Everyone who knew Eric well will miss him and love him always.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Eric's passing. Eric was an amazing student who I had the privilege of teaching AVID during his seventh and eighth grade school years at Enfield Middle School. Lord what I'm suppose to do now Jr without you! Coming home will NEVER be the same for me It feel so empty on this side of the house being that you are gone Thank you for being an amazing brother it was like you were here for me whenever I was going through my deepest darkest times and you always said that "you know I got you girl" "I love you" or just come in my room with your covers and sleep in my recliner.
