Luvenia H. Wright (Sally), 82, of Alabama, gained her wings October 1, 2022 at Springhill Memorial Hospital. She was born March 27, 1940 in Mobile County, Alabama, daughter of the late Myers Harris, Sr. and Ethel Harris. In addition to her parents, Sally is also preceded in death by her first husband Ollie Walker; her second husband, Arthur Wright, Sr., two brothers, Myers Harris, Jr. and LaBarron "Barry" Harris; her sister, Flo Etta (Harris) O’Neal Gillard.
Sally leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Angela G. Berry of Mobile, AL, Catherine W. Ellzey of Covington, GA, and Samantha Walker of Mobile, AL; siblings, Agnes Hunter, of Mobile, AL, Zachary (Marie) Harris, of Newark, NJ, Rachelle Harris, of Mobile, AL, Cheryl (Sam) Watson, of Columbus, OH, and Reginald Harris, of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Terry Walker, of Mobile, AL, Kathleen (Byron) Holloway, of Greer, SC, Ambrosia Walker of Huntsville, AL, Kelly Berry of Coatesville, PA, James (Wendy) Walker of Mobile, AL, Kevin Ellzey of Covington, GA, G’Myers Walker of Mobile, AL, Kevin (Brittany) Berry of Harrisburg, PA, Jr., John Walker of Texas; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Sally was a hard working matriarch. She dedicated employment to Mobile Association-Retarded Citizens (M.A.R.C.). Sally went on to dedicate 25 years of service to M.A.R.C. before retiring. Sally’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.

Prayers of strength for Catherine & Kathleen and their family.I know there are no words that can ease your pain. Just know that I'll always be here for you no matter what.
Our parents give us life. Our grandparents give us a sense of who we are and where we came from. This week, as we say goodbye to Grandma, it hit me how incredibly lucky I have been to have my lovely grandmother with me for 40 years. Grandma —you impacted my life in so many ways. You shaped who I am. You shaped who my children are. You influenced all of us so greatly. I will always love you and save a special corner of my heart to keep you with me. And I know we will miss you every day of our lives.
