While our time was restricted to phone conversations long distant affection with my father-n-law, I will always cherish the version of him I came to know through our warm conversations. He made me smile. It is a profound sadness to lose someone who meant so much to our family, especially when I was looking forward to creating memories together. I will always be grateful for his son he had with Catherine as I feel so blessed to have as a husband! Sending all my love and condolences to the family during this heartbreaking time." -Karina Smith.
My father will be remembered as a passionate, caring man. He stood on his principles as a man, having God in the forefront of his life. Though I wish we had more time to continue rebuilding our relationship together as father & son, I cherish the time we did experience together. God's promise at John 5:28,29 is what I have a hope in "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" -Dondi Smith(son)
Charles was a man whose kindness quietly touched so many lives. He watched over the elders in the neighborhood and was always there when they needed him. He showed a selfless kind of love to all that knew him. His kind, loving and genuine spirit will truly be missed. Love Mary Canyon

Charles was my Beloved Husband & friend. I met and married Charles at 17 & it was the beginning of 62 years of love & friendship. Charles was an amazing partner & father to our 4 children. Throughout the 62 years we preserved through the good and bad times. My husband dedicated his life to service & when distance separated us, God brought back together and we celebrated our love. Thank you for all your heartfelt condolences & well wishes that has been extended to me and our family, in person and online. Mrs. Beatrice Smith
